Why Did We Ever Let Obama Become President?

Original author is unknown (and probably wishes to remain anonymous).  I share it as I received it from a friend who added "The person who wrote this article voted for Obama."  Looks like the author voted before doing their homework.
---------------------------------------------
Disregarding all the furor concerning Barack's legal status to serve, the questions in the article lead me to wonder how a bi-racial person on a Fulbright scholarship as a foreign student became a millionaire on a $12,000/year job as a community organizer.

Legitimate Questions:
This election has me very worried with so many things to consider. I voted for Obama. McCain was a Washington insider and we don’t need any more of  them. I have changed my mind three times since then. I watch all the news channels, jumping from one to another. I must say this drives my husband crazy but I feel if you view CNN and Fox News, you might get some middle ground to work with. I started thinking, "Where does all the money come from for President Obama?”

I have four daughters who went to college. We were middle class and money was tight. We (including my girls) worked hard and there were lots of student loans. I started looking into Obama's history for my own peace of mind.

Around 1979, Obama started college at Occidental in California. He is very open about his two years at Occidental; he tried all kinds of drugs and was wasting his time but even though he had a good mind, he did not apply himself to his studies.  "Barry" (that was the name he used all his life) during this time had two roommates, Muhammad Hasan Chandoo and Wahid Hamid, both from Pakistan.

During the summer of 1981, after his second year in college, he made a "round the world" trip stopping to see his mother in Indonesia, next Hyderabad in India, three weeks in Karachi, Pakistan, where he stayed with his  roommate's family, then off to Africa to visit his father's family.

My question: Where did he get the money for this trip? Niether I nor any one of my children would have had money for a trip like this when they were in college. When he came back, he started school at Columbia University in New York. It is at this time he wanted everyone to call him Barack, not Barry. Do you know what the tuition is at Columbia? It's not cheap to say the least. My girls asked me; where did he get money for tuition, student Loans?

After Columbia, he went to Chicago to work as a Community Organizer for $12,000 a year. Why Chicago?  Why not New York? He was already living in New York. By "chance" he met Antoin "Tony" Rezko, born in Aleppo Syria, and is a real estate developer in Chicago. Rezko has been convicted of fraud and bribery several times in the past and again in 2011. Rezko was named "Entrepreneur of the Decade" by the Arab-American Business and Professional Association."

About two years later, Obama entered Harvard Law School. Do you have any idea what tuition is for Harvard Law School? Where did he get the money for law school? More student loans? His family has no money, that’s for sure.

After law school, he went back to Chicago. Rezko offered him a job, which he turned down.  But he did take a job with Davis, Miner, Barnhill & Galland. Guess what I discovered? They represented "Rezar" which is Rezko's firm. Rezko was one of Obama's first major financial contributors when he ran for office in Chicago. In 2003, Rezko threw an early fundraiser for Obama which Chicago Tribune reporter David Mendelland claims was instrumental in providing Obama with "seed money" for his U.S. Senate race.

In 2005, Obama purchased a new home in Kenwoood District of Chicago for $1.65 million (less than asking price). With ALL those student loans, where did he get the money for this property? On the same day Rezko's wife, Rita, purchased the adjoining empty lot for full price. The London Times reported that Nadhmi Auchi, an Iraqi-born billionaire, loaned Rezko $3.5 million three weeks before Obama's new home was purchased. Obama met Nadhmi Auchi many times with Rezko.

Now, we have Obama running for re-election as our President. Valerie Jarrett, was Michele Obama's boss.  She is now Obama's chief advisor and he does not make any major decisions without talking to her first.  Where was Jarrett born? Ready for this? Shiraz, Iran! Am I going nuts or is there a pattern here?

On May 10, 2008, The Times reported Robert Malley advisor to Obama was  "sacked" after the press found out he was having regular contacts with "Hamas" which controls Gaza and is connected with Iran.  This past week, buried in the back part of the papers, Iraqi newspapers reported that during Obama's visit to Iraq, he asked their leaders to do nothing about the war until after he is elected and he will "Take care of things." What the heck does that mean?

Oh, and by the way, remember the college roommates who were born in Pakistan?  They are in charge of all those "small" Internet campaign contributions for Obama. Where is that money coming from? The poor and middle class in this country?  Or could it be from the Middle East?

And the final bit of news. On September 7, 2009, The Washington Times posted a verbal slip that was made on "This Week" with George Stephanopoulos. Obama on talking about his religion said, "My Muslim faith." When questioned, he said "he made a mistake." Some mistake, huh?

All of the above information I got on line. If you would like to check it out, go to Wikipedia encyclopedia for Barack Obama, Tony Rezko, Valerie Jarrett, Daily Times - Obama visited Pakistan in 1981; The Washington  Times - September 7, 2008; The Times - May 10, 2008.

Now the BIG question ... If I found out all this information on my own, why haven't all of our "intelligent" members of the press been reporting this?

As Arseno Hall would say, “Hummmmm! Does something stink or is it my imagination?"

Roger, there are multiple reasons Obama became President. First, people fell for the spoon fed lies from the DNC against Bush and even many a conservative ended up drinking that kool aid as well. Second, they hired a snake oil salesman to run for office. Third, the extremist right wing of the GOP decided if they cannot force their way through intimidation, they would stay home and not vote so they could say they opposed McCain. Combine all those and you have President Barack Obama.

If you fast forward to 2012 you find the same situation. Certain conservatives are being spoon fed lies about Romney and they are jumping for it, drinking that kool aid as fast as they can. Second, the snake oil salesman is still there and last, the extremists on the super far (out of touch with the country) right wing has decided Romney is not good enough and voting for him is like voting for Obama. Of which only an idiot would believe such pointless dribble.
And they get booted from sites like this one for trying to bully and intimidate others into giving up their Constitutional rights and following their cult of personality leader who cannot win his own Congressional District (Romney won Ron Paul's Congressional district in the May 29th primary vote).

The best thing to do is smile at them, murmur a few words like, "oh wow, that's interesting" and continue with the way we were going about business without any interruptions. They join along as a team member, citizen, defender of the Republic. Or they can sit in a chair, sipping that kool-aid and claiming intellectual superiority over us neocons who were duped by the NWO (which the last time I checked was a professional wrestling league).

As for me, I pay them no heed, they have absolutely NO understanding of any of the topics they bring up. Their Constitutional knowledge is copy and paste from wikipedia.  And their so called patriotism is easy to do on a keyboard.

Roger,

They will be viewed as part of the problem if they cannot stand for America in her time of need. The people chose Romney and so when November comes, they have a responsibility to vote. If they do not pull that lever to remove Obama, then when they come to these sites and claim to be defenders of the constitution, they will be liars and pointless to the conversation. I fear the selfish will subjugate us because they want a distorted, extremist version of conservatism and to violate others constitutional rights to be heard and try to force an illogical ideologically pure party (no ideologically pure party has survived more than 2-3 election cycles and then disappeared from history). I fear you may be right but we can only hope they do not fall into that selfishness again and come into a maturity demanded by the Constitution.

@Michael Brennan, I am afraid that we will repeat history.  The Republican National Committee rules allow delegates to vote their convictions, even on the first ballot.  State primary obligations are not binding on delegates to RNC.  This means that Ron Paul has an excellent chance of winning the endorsement because his grassroots campaign "stacked the deck" with Libertarians.  Ron Paul could never attract a moderate Democrat vote.  Therefore, they will hold their nose and vote for Obama again.  I have talked to a lot of Ron Paul believers.  One of them said, "If I cannot vote for my principles, I will not vote."

Because certain conservatives became selfish and decided that McCain was not "conservative" enough for their tastes. That alone rings of pure hypocrisy, a detriment to the actual definition of conservatism and a complete disrespect to the nation since Obama was elected as President. There is NO such thing as a pure conservative, if you are waiting for one, you will die before they ever appear. The definition of conservatism alone leaves so much room for ideological differences that there can be no argument since each level of conservatism is equal to the others. Northern conservatives like Romney are as true as Southwestern conservatives like Ron Paul and southeastern conservatives like Gingrich and Barbour. So in 2008 we had an extremist view on what conservatism was, many stayed home instead of voting for someone they incorrectly thought was a waste and our country and Constitution are now being destroyed. Now we are at that same path again. Many incorrectly claim Romney is not a conservative, BUT no one here has the ability to make that determination since Romney can claim to be a conservative on equal grounds as any Tea Party member or GOP member in the US (libertarian members as well). So now we have a choice, protect America by firing Obama or being ignorantly selfish and allowing Obama another 4 years? It will be our fault if Obama wins, we will have screwed up and America should look at us as failures and look to someone else to bring forth the conservative message. We either elect Romney or none of us deserve to be called defenders of the constitution. I do not care what you believe about Romney, those opinions no longer are valid, it is either Obama and death to the Constitution or Romney and a chance to survive. DO not make the same mistake we did in 2008, fire Obama.....even a dead dog is better than him.
