Iraq: Security  A Sunni Arab spokesman, who identified his group as the revolutionary tribes, said they still intend to attack Baghdad and denied they are part of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL). The major battle reported in open sources occurred at Tikrit, a continuation of the attack begun yesterday. News sources reported that ISIL fighters fled Tikrit because of Iraqi helicopter attacks. They fled northward towards Baiji and Kirkuk. Syrian air force fighter jets again overflew border areas in western Anbar Governate, but no sources reported air strikes.
Politics. Grand Ayatollah Ali Sistani called on Iraqi political blocs to agree on a premier, parliament speaker and a president by Tuesday when the parliament convenes.
Comment: This is the second time since 10 June that Sistani has departed from his "quietist" Shiite practices to deliver advice to the political leadership. The background to his remark is that Iraqi political leaders have sometimes taken weeks or months to agree on the top three political positions. Sistani's message is that the security situation in Iraq cannot afford a political stalemate. He did not call for a new government or for anyone to be replaced. Iraq-Russia: A Russian business news service reported that Iraq will receive 18 fighter jets from Russia. According to the report, the deal could be worth $500 million. It includes between eight and 12 Su-27SM fighters from the Russian Air Force and six Su-30K fighters owned by the Irkut Corporation of Russia, but stored in Belarus.
Comment: The news report contained no information on the actual cost of the agreement; the conditions and terms of the aircraft transfer, logistics arrangements and the timing of their delivery. Saddam Hussein's air force was almost entirely Soviet-supplied, but had no SU-27s or later model fighters. However, Russia probably has a pool of retired or discharged pilots and technicians who would be willing to work for the Iraqi government for a price.  -NightWatch

Iraq  The signing of association agreements with the EU by Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova is a sovereign right of these countries, but Russia will take protective measures if the implementation of these documents has a negative impact on the Russian market, Russian president's press secretary Dmitriy Peskov has told RIA Novosti. "The president has already said on more than one occasion that everything will depend on how these documents come into force, are ratified and implemented. These are not documents that matter, but the possibility of an impact on our markets, and if this impact is negative, measures will be taken," Peskov said. He stressed that this is "an absolutely sovereign right of Ukraine and Georgia".
Comment: This was a conditional warning. Ostensibly the association agreements would appear to represent a strategic setback for Russia because of the continuing unraveling of the Soviet Union, not just as a political and security structure, but as a continental market area. These association agreements indicate the process of restructuring that market area is continuing. That means the countries including Russia are traveling new economic terrain. The Russian leaders have not denounced the new agreements. Instead, they have taken a cautious approach because the new arrangements could work to Russia's benefit over time. Europe has now penetrated the Russian sphere of influence more deeply than at any time since the overthrow of the Czars. When Medvedev was prime minister, he promised to defend the borders of the Russian sphere of influence. Putin has failed to keep that promise, sensationally. There probably would be consequences for him within the leadership, if Russia experiences a negative impact from the new associations. If everyone gets rich, he will be a hero. Putin and his acolytes probably are relieved that they engineered Crimea's accession to the Russian Federation before 27 June.  -NightWatch

Infinite Degrees Beyond Stupid - Secretary Hanoi Kerry: $500 Million to Arm Syrian   Moderates...                                                                                                                         There are two main Islamic fighting forces, and six main factions within those fighting forces, inside Syria - all fighting against Assad. None of them are remotely "moderate". But for context let me remind you of what the John's (Kerry and McCain) consider "moderate": (Left) John McCain meeting with ISIS forces in Syria while thought he […]   Read more of this post   -The Last Refuge

Consolidation of Power Begins in Syria
This will throw a pickle in the grand scheme of Ketchup Hanoi Kerry.  With al-Qaeda essentially conceding the more radical ISIL Army is the more powerful Islamist force - the Ideological alignment within Syria leaves barely a ‘smidgen’ of room for moderation.   Of course this merge begs the question how long will Russia stay de-facto aligned to Assad?   Read more of this post   -The  Last Refuge

This time, two Texas Congressmen introduced a bill, the Identify and Recover Lost Emails (IRS) Act (H.R. 4958), offering a $1 million reward for the recovery of former IRS director Lois Lerner’s missing emails, or a $500,000 reward for information concerning their whereabouts.  nObama Announces Plan to Fight Al Qaeda by arming Al Qaeda
I can’t see how this plan could possibly go wrong. The nObama administration asked Congress on Thursday to authorize $500 million in direct U.S. military training and equipment for Syrian opposition fighters...nObama didn’t ask Congress for authorization to invade Libya. He told Congress that he wouldn’t ask for permission to bomb Iraq. The only reason nObama asks for something is to score political points or to cover his back side. In this case it’s the latter because even nObama knows this is a terrible idea. That’s why he has been delaying for so long. So nObama is going engage in counterterrorism… by arming and training terrorists. That’s like running guns to Mexican drug cartels to stop Mexican drug cartels from having guns… another brilliant nObama plan.
 Benghazi suspect pleads not guilty
Ahmed Abu Khatallah, the Libyan militant charged in the 2012 Benghazi attacks, pleaded not guilty Saturday afternoon during his brief appearance before a federal magistrate judge...Khatallah, who walked into the D.C. courtroom wearing black sweatpants, a black sweatshirt and plastic slip-on sandals, spoke softly, when asked how he pleaded. Khatallah was flown to Washington by helicopter shortly after sunrise from a navy warship, where he had been held since his capture nearly two weeks ago. I wasn't surprise by his plead.
 nObama's Enforcer
Attorney General Eric Holder has transformed the Department of Justice into a secretive instrument for advancing the President’s left-wing agenda...From selling guns to Mexican drug cartels in “Fast and Furious” to harassing Tea Party activists to spying on FOX News reporters, Holder has been irrefutably linked to scandal after scandal – and despite mountains of evidence, has denied involvement. For his deliberate obstruction and obfuscation, he became the first-ever Attorney General to be held in contempt by the House of Representatives. Yet the President has continued to defend Eric Holder, and there is no doubt about why: Holder and the Department of Justice can afford to be caught again and again doing what the President cannot risk doing himself. nObama’s Enforcer offers the deepest investigation of its kind into the country’s largest law enforcement agency – and reveals its true character as the strong arm of a radical President.
Testimony: The regional implications of an Iranian nuclear deal
Iran is a belligerent in the regional sectarian war that is raging in Iraq and Syria. What, then, are the implications of a possible nuclear weapons deal for the region?...Iran seeks nuclear weapons in order to deter any potential attack against it by the United States or Israel. This is part of their larger strategy to create a regional Persian hegemony and expel Western influence. Iran is unlikely to abandon its nuclear program, even though doing so would enrich and stabilize the country. Even if Tehran completely reversed its attitude towards the US, that would not be enough to bring Iran into alignment with our interests. A nuclear deal is not the solution to all the problems in US-Iran relations. A new strategy must be formulated to assist the majorities in Iraq and Syria who reject al-Qaeda and Iranian dominance, a strategy that relies on continued sanctions, air power, intelligence, and aggressive diplomacy.
South Dakota GOP Passes Resolution Impeaching nObama
This past weekend, the South Dakota GOP passed a resolution at their state convention calling for the impeachment of Barack nObama. According to the Argus Leader, delegates to the convention voted 191 to 176 in favor of the resolution...Allen Unruh of Sioux Falls sponsored the resolution. Unrah said, “I’ve got a thick book on impeachable offenses of the president.” He pushed for South Dakota to “send a symbolic message that liberty should be the law of the land.” The resolution cited a few of the reasons that Unruh believes calls for nObama’s impeachment. They included the release of the five Taliban terrorists without following the law and informing Congress, nObama’s abuse of executive orders, and the illegal enacting of laws bypassing Congress through federal agencies.
Treasonous Democrats Call for nObama Dictatorship!
Granted, the Democrat Party, the party that “booed” God loudly three times at their 2012 convention, probably have a huge problem with the “So help me God” closing, but, nevertheless, they promise to follow the U.S. Constitution...The beginning body of the U.S. Constitution, Article, I, Section 1, states that “ALL” legislative powers are obtained by the Congress of the United State, not Barack Obama. In one clear, easy to understand sentence, the longest serving Constitution in world history states: “All legislative powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Represent.”
Gaza surveillance cameras pick up Israeli strike on terrorists
Israel confirmed carrying out the targeted killing of Osama Hassumi, 29, and Mohammad Fatzih, 24, on Friday, charging that they were involved in a cell responsible for repeated rocket fire on Israel’s southern cities...over the past several weeks and were planning terror attacks on Israeli civilians. “Militants, like Hassumi and Fatzih, attacking Israel from Gaza, are not safe, do not have immunity, and will not be free to plan, plot and operate. We will continue to strike the instigators and agitators with patience, determination and precision. Gaza rocket terrorism does not pay,” said IDF spokesperson Lt. Col. Peter Lerner on Friday.
ISIS plans to smash borders of Mideast map
ISIS’ web magazine began in June and has just published its fifth issue. Its fourth issue talks about redrawing the map of the Middle East, and on its cover shows ISIS fighters crossing between Syria and Iraq without any sign of a demarcation between the two countries...The web magazine is published every Saturday. The article seeks to justify creation of an Islamic caliphate to re-establish the Middle East region before it was carved up by the British and French following World War I. In outlining how it is reshaping the Middle East map, ISIS in said its goal is to correct an injustice that goes back to a secret arrangement between the British and French, known as the 1916 Sykes-Picot Treaty. That treaty created the countries of Syria, Lebanon, Iraq and Jordan and later contributed to Israel’s creation. Middle East experts say some of these nation-states won’t survive in their present form, and while some will, the bottom line is the United States won’t be able to stop a process that is well underway.
 ISIS Vowed To Destroy Mecca
Some Middle East news and countless other social media sites in Arabic are disturbed over some tweets that claim they were sent by Abu Turab Al-Maqdisi, a spokesperson for the ISIS (Islamic State in Iraq and Syria)...
The tweets stated that the head of the ISIS, Al-Baghdadi intends to destroy the Ka’ba, the holiest shrine to Islam. Regardless, the destruction of sites associated with early Islam is a fact and has been an on-going phenomenon that has occurred mainly in the holy cities of Mecca and Medina. The demolition has focused on mosques, burial sites, homes and historical locations associated with the Prophet Muhammad and many of the founding personalities of early Islamic history. The reason for much of the demolitions is that Wahhabists and Salafists believe that Muslim traditionalists go too far and see that even touching objects is considered iconic and thus is viewed as idol worship.
The War Muhammad Promised Us; The Great Tribulation
Anthony said: “It is hard to imagine how the planet can continue much longer, judging by the rate it is descending into barbarism.”...
What is happening Anthony is that we are approaching a revival of a dark history when Islam proudly built pyramids out of human skulls and made blood flow in ravines. And when you see this revival of Islam complete is when you will look back at our current time now and say: “these were the good old days”.These fighters who gather in Iraq and Syria are not there for the primary goal to fight Maliki and Assad. Abu Omar, a Sunni jihadist fighting in Aleppo said, “If you think that all these mujahideen came from around the world to fight Assad, you are mistaken. All of them came here as it was foretold and promised by the Prophet. It is the war He promised us; the war of The Great Tribulation.” The Jihadists have a set of belief that one third of the Muslims in the world will be killed.
Exposed: How the VA
Red-Flags 'Disruptive' Vets
Michelle Malkin
Imagine how much better off America's veterans would be if the federal government spent more time delivering actual care and less time compiling tyrannical lists. The death-inducing secret waiting lists for patients are just the tip of the iceberg.

Did you know, for example, that the VA keeps a database on "disgruntled" and "disruptive" vets that results in arbitrarily restricted care?

Disabled Air Force veteran and veterans advocate/attorney Benjamin Krause has been raising questions about the system for months and warning his peers. Under the VA policy on "patient record flags" (PRFs), federal bureaucrats can classify vets as "threats" based on assessments of their "difficult," "annoying" and "non-compliant" behavior.

The VA manual says the flags "are used to alert Veterans Health Administration medical staff and employees of patients whose behavior and characteristics may pose a threat either to their safety, the safety of other patients, or compromise the delivery of quality health care."

That last phrase is priceless. Untold numbers of vets are dead, and legions more have languished because of the VA's failure to deliver "quality health care." The Office of Special Counsel just confirmed to President nObama this week that vets across the country were exposed to contaminated drinking water, dirty surgical tools, untrained doctors and neglectful nurses -- and that whistleblowers were retaliated against or ignored.

Yet, the VA's soulless paper-pushers seem more preoccupied with flagging and punishing "disruptive" vets who have dared to complain about their disgraceful treatment and abuse.

Get this: Among examples of patients' behavior referred to the VA's "Disruptive Behavior Committees" (yes, that's what they're called): venting "frustration about VA services and/or wait times, threatening lawsuits or to have people fired, and frequent unwarranted visits to the emergency department or telephone calls to facility staff."

As Krause explains, the Disruptive Behavior Committees are secret panels "that decide whether or not to flag veterans without providing due process first. The veteran then has his or her right of access to care restricted without prior notice."

Veterans need look no further than the IRS witch hunts for reason to fear abuse of this monitoring system. The definition of "disruptive" is completely arbitrary. That's not just my opinion. The VA inspector general concluded last spring that the bureaucracy "does not have a comprehensive definition of what constitutes disruptive behavior."

Krause writes: "While I am sure some veterans need some form of a flag, I am also aware of numerous veterans who were unfairly targeted for a variety of unreasonable reasons." Krause told me this week that "the bean-counters" may have flagged at least one veteran for being "too expensive." And "trouble-makers" who are educated and know their rights are especially vulnerable. It's absolutely chilling.

"This discussion of patient record flags has me fired up," Krause explained, "because of the clear unconstitutional nature of the program. It reminds me of the old Communist techniques used to keep Soviet citizens in check, since I am aware of more than a few veterans who are flagged merely because of their threat to sue VA."

As one disabled veteran, Lawrence Kelley, told me after he learned of a flag on his record after he became vocal about his veterans rights advocacy: "Once you complain, you are on their hit list forever." VA officials refused to treat him and physically evicted him from a facility. He's now challenging the flag.

This is an "intimidation tactic," pure and simple, Krause warns. And nObama's Department of Homeland Security Federal Protective Service is now providing muscle to deter sick vets from protesting in front of VA hospitals.

More of your tax-subsidized thugocracy at work.
