Standing against big government and for the people!
My fellow Americans, patriots all,
I beg your indulgence for a short while, during the early 1770's the New England colonies were faced with the problem of various tax, importation, and navigation acts imposed upon them by the English. Mind you this was years before the "shot heard around the world", they, lead by such revolutionary leaders as Sam Adams and Paul Revere(yes that Paul Revere, he was a revolutionary, silversmith, and New England merchant long before his "ride"), wrote a letter to the English government they entitled it the "intolerable acts". This redress of grievances to the government is codified into our current governmental system, and now has been cheapened by the administration having a petition site that allows petitions to build the "Death Star", and such. I would contend that those of us on the right might compose such a letter to the current administration. I would also contend that this be written by such persons that have suitable education and skills relating to rules of governance and knowledge of the Constitution and court decisions relating to it, and not by any that could be construed as to be radical or espousing conspiratorial ideas, but instead the ideals that this nation was founded upon. I believe that only through a well thought out and well written document, that has firm arguments based on logic, the law, and the original intent and writing of the constitution will an attention be paid to this document.

Comment by Ross Richard Blankert on January 17, 2013 at 11:22am The president is writing laws. He is not in the legislative branch. The Congress is doing insider trading legally because they can break the laws they write. The courts are writing laws too. It is time for Mr Smith and Mr Wesson to talk and lay down the law. That is if the government does not take the only means of defending ourselves.
Comment by Ross Richard Blankert on January 17, 2013 at 9:43am You are talking about people who vote for bills without reading them. Logic, the law, and the constitution have nothing to do with the President, his administration, congress or senate.
