Standing against big government and for the people!

Liberal policies are the reason wages are so low.

Example: if there were no

2) WIC

and any other assistance programs promoted by liberals, wages would be higher.

The natural forces of free market practices have been greatly influenced by liberal programs.

Businesses of all stripes feel it is not necessary for them to pay a livable wage, because they know there are programs funded by tax payers that will in fact subsidize the low wages they pay their work force.

In my city for example $23,000.00 per year is average pay, which is not a livable wage, therefore assistance would be needed if a person has even one child, and one would receive assistance.

Taxpayer money is used as opposed to the employer paying a higher wage, the employer can choose to keep cost low by using taxpayer subsidy of  his work force.

Wages in many occupations would be higher if assistance programs were not available.

Just as business and the Chamber of Commerce desire amnesty to have an ever increasing supply of low wage workers.

Businesses for decades have been taking advantage of every liberal policy that assists their workers while keeping their own cost artificially low.

Obamacare is another example of business offloading to the taxpayer.

I was merely attempting to explain the background to the subject matter. While I appreciate your comment it does nothing to further the subject in a constructive manner, I shall accept the blame for it, since I might not have been clear in defining the situation.

How about we enact a maximum wage, and start with the politicians no one to receive over 20 dollars and hour for an eight hour day, if they take a long lunch just deduct it from their check, if they want to take a trip to some foreign country and they are not diplomats assigned to that country then they have to pay their own way and pay for any of there bodyguards, and the should also apply to the president when he is going on vacation, the tax payer should not be stuck. no one else gets his vacation paid for, he might get a couple of weeks pay but that is all.

Hi. My point is remove taxpayer subsidies employers benefit from. Allow the free market to determine wages.

If you raised the min wage to $100 tomorrow, most every business in america will shut down and our country will be history, rioting in the streets, looting, crime, murder, rape, you name it.

Raise it to $50 and you'll get virtually the same effect.

Raise it to $10 and we may survive, but will will get the same reaction that would cause the above problems just to a lesser degree, loss of jobs, reduction of startup businesses, elimination of jobs created to help seniors and handicapped. Many of our local retailers hire seniors, mentally and physically handicapped people to do things like hand out coupons. They are paid min wage and I'm sure they enjoy the jobs compared to sitting and staring at walls somewhere, or worse.

If they must increase wages why not do it across the board, require businesses to give all employees of 2+ years a 10% increase and allow for sub min-wage training periods in economically challenged areas like the first six weeks. This would help create jobs not destroy them.

It's funny how politicians don't seem to have any common sense, they just think they can legislate success for those who do nothing but "show up" for work.
