Standing against big government and for the people!
I was at the last "gun club" meeting of the year tonight when the legislative committee person gave his report. There were several upsetting pieces of news. Maine is being attacked once again by the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) to ban bear hunting and trapping. Since they are in our region we have to support this fight to keep our own "privileges" to hunting.
What made me want to scream was when a club member asked what we,as a club, should do for the future. All our esteemed legislative committeeman could say was to forget trying to expand, and watch out that our range use doesn't go too high. That is of course was just a little of the discussion, but the fear of our State government was palpable. It made me sick.
There was no talk of fighting the political battles to take back ground lost to the one world planners. There was no talk of educating young people, not just in how to handle guns, but about their own government. There was a stifling one issue frame of mind that I abhor. In the old days most men sitting around a fire after the hunt, or the turkey shoot would have been of the same frame of mind. WE must put THEM in their place. (All inclusive)
How can we profess a claim to a better way if we go along on 90% of crap someone else forces down our throats? I hope God isn't watching because He'd be embarrassed. Is there only one way, one truth, and one light, or are there many paths that share a footprint?
If I get upset here (PAN) it's because I expect everyone to be intelligent enough to see through the lies and deceptions around us. We should all be holding a candle in our hand that lights the face of our brothers and sisters in this struggle. It was handed to us by the father in front of us and it will be handed back to the children who come after us. One line of succession on a single road that leads to freedom.
Don't be afraid to sound off. Unfortunately I was too stunned and sick to speak. I will try not to let it happen again.
