2014: The Resurgence of the Tea Party

It is not looking good for the Tea Party and our efforts to restore America in 2014. The Obama Administration, mainstream media, major liberal advocacy groups and the GOP establishment have launched an extremely well-funded war against us.

So, how do we compete?

Answer: We do what we did in 2010. The Bible says one will put a thousand to flight, but two will put 10,000 to flight. (Deut. 32:30) In other words, when we are united our power and effectiveness increases exponentially. The 2010 Republican sweep of the elections driven by the Tea Party confirms this truth.

Without mainstream media support, We The People used the resources at our disposal (internet, talk radio, social networks and a single minded purpose) to spread the word which inspired 1.7 million patriots to show up for a rally in DC. Incredible. Absolutely amazing!

Well patriots, it is time for us to work together again. In a single-minded effort, We The People must unite as an army fighting side-by-side determined to repeal Obamacare.

Obama said repealing Obamacare ain't happenin' on his watch. The GOP and many political pundits agree.

Meanwhile, Obamacare is wreaking havoc on America. I refuse to believe that the American people will sheepishly allow this evil and destructive behemoth, pushed on us via Obama lies and dirty political tricks, to stand.

Patriots, 2014 has to be our all hands on deck effort; getting as many conservatives as possible elected to the House and Senate; exploiting every opportunity to push back against the full implementation of Obamacare via lawsuits and more.

Also crucially important, we must stand by our Tea Party warriors; Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, Sarah Palin and others. Courageously enduring unimaginable pressures from the GOP and the left, this is not the time to nitpick our generals for being less than perfect. We are at war!

In the early years of the Tea Party, I was blown away by the brilliant minds I encountered at rallies across America while touring on Tea Party Express. Patriots wrote books, conceived strategies, organized, wrote songs and more; all intended to take back America. We need that same intense creativity and energy activated to repeal Obamacare; stopping Obama's vowed insidious fundamental transformation of our great country.

Our unified desire to repeal the monstrous Obamacare must be the catalyst for rejuvenating the early passion, enthusiasm and determination of the Tea Party. This is it folks, 2014 is the year of the battle to end all battles for America as intended by our Founding Fathers.

As for the odds, the traitorous GOP, the left and big money being against us, such has always been the case. The only thing different about the 2014 election is that establishment Republicans are no longer hiding their disdain for the Tea Party. Therefore, if we do what we did in 2010, We The People will defeat them again in 2014.

One last point. From its beginning, I believe the Tea Party was divinely inspired. How else can you explain mega millions of Americans becoming mobilized to act because of one man, Rick Santelli ranting about the size, irresponsibility and tyranny of out-of-control big government. Thus, I believe we have righteousness (the moral high Ground) and God on our side. “If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31) This truth gives me peace and my spirit to remain upbeat and confident.

Patriots, your lives have been prepared for such a time as this. The Tea Party is the miracle cure destine to eradicate this evil cancerous tumor known as Obamacare, aggressively eating away at the soul of what it means to be an American. 2014 is the year we heal our land.

See what happens when enough conservatives become PCs on a county Republican Party committee:

RESOLUTION #8:   Senator John McCain Censured by Arizona’s Republican Leadership - As leaders in the Republican Party, we are obligated to fully support our Party, platform, and its candidates. Only in times of great crisis or betrayal is it necessary to publicly censure our leaders. Today we are faced with both. For too long we have waited, hoping Senator McCain would return to our Party’s values on his own. That has not happened. So with sadness and humility we rise and declare:

ü  Whereas Senator McCain has amassed a long and terrible record of drafting, co-sponsoring and voting for legislation best associated with liberal Democrats, such as Amnesty, funding for ObamaCare, the debt ceiling, liberal nominees, assaults on the Constitution and 2nd amendment; and

ü  Whereas this record has been disastrous and harmful to Arizona and the United States; and

ü  Whereas Senator McCain has campaigned as a conservative and made promises during his re-election campaigns, such as the needed and welcomed promise to secure our borders and finish the border fence, only to quickly flip-flop on those promises; and

ü  Whereas McCain has abandoned our values and has been eerily silent against Liberals, yet publicly reprimands Conservatives in his own Party, therefore

ü  BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the Maricopa County Republican Committee censures Senator McCain for his continued disservice to our State and Nation, and

ü  BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that until he consistently champions our Party’s Platform, we, the Republican leadership in Arizona will no longer support, campaign for or endorse John McCain as our U.S. Senator.

The precinct committeeman of the Maricopa County, Arizona, Republican Committee will be voting on this resolution on Saturday.

Read the other resolutions to be voted on by the elected precinct committeemen here:

See what can happen when conservatives unite and organize, not just on the internet on a web site, and not just at a "tea party" meeting, but where the rubber meets the road:  inside a political party as precinct committeemen?

I don't know how the vote will come out on Saturday.  That will depend on whether conservative PCs show up in sufficient numbers to pass the resolution of censure with 50% plus 1 of the vote.

So, PAN members, what are YOU doing like this where you live?  What is YOUR local district and county Republican Party committee doing like this?  Are YOU a member of those committees?  If not, why not?

Thank you,

Cold Warrior

Paul, you said, "Now is the time to start telling the republican party that we don't want any more Rinos nominated."

Why should they listen to you?

Who in "the republican party" will you tell this to?

ANYONE who wants to run for office can do so under any party label they want as long as they gather the required number of nominating petition signatures required to get onto the ballot.  Then the primary voters, according to the election laws of each particular state, decide which candidate wins the election.

The BEST way for an individual "patriot" to help change the outcome of the primary elections is by becoming a precinct committeeman in their own precinct and then working with the other conservative precinct committeemen (if there are any) to help get out the vote for their own favored candidates.

Are you a precinct committeeman?

If not, will you become one?

Thank you,

Cold Warrior

Now is the time to start telling the republican party that we don't want any more Rinos nominated. They continue to.We want the candidates to constantly hammer the Democrates on everything that has happen to lose.We also w  the candidates to constantly hammer the democrats on everything that has happened: OBAMACARE :IRS; NSA; and especially BENGALZI .If we don't recover the senate in 2014 our country wil have gone down the drain by 2016. We need to start by stop listening to McCain and the other moderates.

Also we must stop listening to Rove. He has cost us the last two elections and almost previous ones.Hopefully

Boener will lose in 2014,but if not the republicans will be smart enough to appoint a new speaker.

It's not just former republicans having a falling out with that party due in large part of rinos cozying up with democrats, democrats too are growing weary of maobamas' policies, namely maobamacare.  It was bound to happen, watching their fearless leader foundering on every domestic and foreign issues like Libya, Syria, Iran, Iraq, and Iran.  Maobama has given al queda everything they want.  2014 will go down as the biggest landslide in political history with a republican senate and retaining the congress.

Hear ye, hear ye, May 16, 2014 let the revolution begin. Let every window in Washington see, hear, and feel the contempt true American patriots have for THEIR government at this time. It is time to act in unity and with great resolve to restore the true meaning of OUR Constitution, and make our elected representatives abide by it. Remember Egypt

Mitt Romney, lacked conviction. On issues such as illegal immigration, addressing fraud, and corporation taxes.

If someone was to address these issues on the internet, he wouldn't get very far. Strategies for removing people are already trying to lay low. By changing how they recipetate their wording.

My strategies are mine alone, Cold Warrior. I cannot explain online, I do not trust the internet. Nor do I trust people I do not know. I am world traveled, and I have found, most people have hidden agendas. They are users, untruthful, and quick to build up, just to tear down.

I watched a show the other day about a Kansas senator, starring Lionel Barrymore. How he thought he was doing what his constituents wanted. He was lied to by his wife and those in his staff. I like old movies, because in the 20's, 30's, and 40's, most movies were about real life experiences. But if I stated a strategy of going around and arresting top bankers, politicians, those behind the communist manifesto, and agenda 21, I would be discredited by msm, in a heart beat.

I will look into being a PC. I follow certain issues real closely on the internet. I am a remote person, because I know what people are like. I would also like to know whom I am addressing.

Thank you, Cold Warrior.

Have you ever wondered why Republican Party candidates will not explain to "the little people" how to get involved in Party politics in their own precincts, where the real political power lies?

Here's the strategy I provided Mitt Romney after he won the nomination:

3-Part Campaign Strategy to Increase Voter Turnout and Ensure Mitt Romney’s Victory in 2012

First, an outreach to conservatives personally by Mitt (and by surrogates who enjoy the trust of the grass roots conservatives) to convince them he’s now, really, truly, committed to his current conservative positions and will not flop back from where he flipped.

Second, an urgent, continual plea to every conservative audience that each of them get involved in party politics as precinct committeemen and/or campaign volunteers, however they can, to help GOTV in their “political neighborhoods” to increase the turnout of those Republican and center-right independents who have “stayed home” in the past.

Third, use the BEST GOTV software to coordinate this GOTV with all the new, energized, brand new PCs and campaign volunteers in, at least, the “battleground” states.  That software is rVotes.  The Dems use VoteBuilder.  rVotes was developed by the same guy who developed VoteBuilder.  rVotes is up and ready to go in at least the following states (and being used on some state-wide races in some of them):  AZ, OH, FL, IA, MI, RI, VA.  There are others; I just can’t remember them all.  Read everything at http://www.rvotes.com

Regarding the first part of this strategy, Mitt has to convince those “stay at home” conservatives who will not vote for him that he’s flipped onto his “best and final” conservative positions on a whole host of issues and that he won’t flop back.  (The “Etch-a-Sketch” comment today by his campaign advisor did NOT help.)

To convince these conservatives, he needs to meet with as many of the grass roots conservative leaders as possible (and I’m talking about the local level leaders, not the “national ‘leaders’” like, for example, the Tea Party Patriot “national coordinators” like Jenny Beth Martin, who have no influence over the local people (and who probably won’t endorse him anyways) and go down the list of conservative “litmus test” issues with them and explain, in his own words, what he really believes now and why those beliefs are part of his core and why he won’t change his mind.  I recommend he meet with as many of these leaders as possible in person and then broadcast this to those who cannot attend in person over the internet via WebEx or GoToMeeting  Then send these surrogates back to their respective groups.  I can help with this, as I know a lot of local tea party leaders here in AZ and around the country.

As for the second part, what he needs to continually say to the conservative audiences he meets with, I wrote this back on March 7 at Redstate.com when it appeared Mitt had gained enough momentum to look like he’d end up being the nominee:

What Mitt Romney could be saying to “the Republican base” to seal t...

I know many of you conservatives who have registered as Republican Party voters don’t believe I have any core conservative beliefs and believe I advocated for a federal individual mandate that all Americans buy health insurance or go to jail. I didn’t. And I don’t.

But here’s what I do know. And do advocate. Now.

First, we conservative Americans have to unite and organize to Get Out The Vote like never before if we are going to defeat President Obama in November.

Second, the best way for we conservatives to unite and organize to Get Out The Vote like never before to defeat President Obama and the other Democrat candidates in all of the partisan races in November is to unite and organize inside a political party. And that political party is, obviously, the Republican Party. And I don’t just mean registering to vote as a Republican. I mean more than that. I mean finding your local Republican Party committee — they usually meet monthly — and going to its meeting and finding out how you can volunteer to become a voting member of the Party. In most states, that’s called becoming a “precinct committeeman.” Regardless of the name, by becoming one — and it’s pretty easy — you get to not only vote for the local and county Party officers, but you might also be able to vote to endorse candidates in the all-important, traditionally-very-low-turnout primary elections.

Anyone from the Party ever told you about this? Any other candidates in the presidential primary told you about this? Well, it’s about time somebody did, and I’m telling you now.

About half of these “voting slots” in the Party, nationwide, are vacant right now. And about one-third of the voting precincts in America have not even one Republican Party precinct committeeman slot filled. Not one. In about one third of the voting precincts in America, not one of these vital volunteer slots to help Get Out The Vote and to be a liaison between the Republican voters in their precinct and the Party is filled with a warm body. In other words, we conservative Americans are going into battle against the Democrat Party, in our local precincts, at about half strength and with fully one third of our precincts having not even one Republican Party “boots on the ground” volunteer going door-to-door or making Get Out The Vote phone calls for our candidates.

As I said, our Republican Party is at half-strength. It’s at its weakest where it needs to be strongest. At the neighborhood level. The precinct level. We conservative Republicans must change that. Will you please attend your next local Republican Party committee meeting? To learn how to volunteer to get involved as a precinct committeeman? It only takes a couple of hours a month. Will you attend your meeting and learn how to help Get Out The Vote? Did you know that about 35% of registered Republicans did not bother to vote in the 2008 election that John McCain lost to President Obama by just 53 to 47 per cent?

I want to win the presidency. For you. For America. To get our country back on track. And to keep it on the track of less government spending, less government regulation, and lower taxation, “we the conservative people” need to re-energize the Republican Party with conservatives inside it. Won’t you help me? And help your country?

Please go to PrecinctProject.us to learn more. Then find your local committee and attend its meetings. You won’t be disappointed.

Thank you. And God bless America.

Mitt Romney

Thank you.

As for the third part, Mitt probably has friends in all of the battleground states who could write a check for the cost of deploying AZ state wide.  The best way to deploy it is to allow the state committee to make it available to all Republican candidates (the candidates for the state-wide, U.S House and Senate, and state legislature races, and big city mayor candidates would pay a sliding scale licensing fee; all PCs and “small” county and city candidates would get to use it for free or a nominal fee).  For example, it would cost about $150,000 for the AZ GOP to be supported in this fashion by rVotes.  The cost is more in a more populous state.  Mitt should be able to find willing donors to foot the bill.  As I said, Steve Adler estimated for the RNC over a year ago that he could provide rVotes to all of the battleground states (estimated to be about 12 then) for just over $3 M.  The state parties would actually be able to recoup much of this investment through licensing to candidates.  Regardless, the bottom line is that EVERY registered voter in a state is in a single data base.  So, when phone calls are being made by volunteers from their homes (rather than at a call center – no downtime for travel to a call center), if a voter tells the caller that he’s a “lock” for Romney and will vote for him, or already has by early ballot, that voter drops out of that phone back project, and his name will never pop up on the screen again for any other volunteer.  This saves the time of the volunteers, makes the GOTV effort more efficient, and prevents the phenomenon of turning off voters by repetitive, annoying phone calls.

Back to the first part, Mitt will also need the surrogates to talk about this strategy, and the need for good, decent conservative Americans to get involved in GOTV efforts, as a PC or otherwise, on the political talk shows.  Best to have someone who can not only “talk the talk” but “walk the walk.”  I have presented this strategy many, many times, at tea party meetings, 9.12 meetings, other grass roots conservative groups, at American Majority conferences, at the RightOnline conference last summer in Mpls., on talk radio programs as a guest, and, most recently, a couple of weekends ago to 85 tea party leaders at a Tea Party Patriots “Leaders Conference” co-hosted by AZ Americans for Prosperity and the Leadership Institute.  If the Romney Campaign would like my help on spearheading this, I can do this on a project, contract basis.  But it needs to happen right away, as we don’t have very much time left.  I truly believe he must counter the “stay at home” sentiment – it is REAL – and increase GOTV through a national plea for civic involvement in local party politics and through actively volunteering with his campaign.  Marketing campaigns only get you so far.  The “personal touch” is needed and that means neighbor-to-neighbor phone calls and doorstep visits to those voters who need that extra nudge and who think, maybe, their vote just doesn’t count for much.

Of course, one way for Mitt to truly convince the voters that he has seen the light is to repudiate the individual mandate in Romneycare.  Just admit he was wrong.  For some, this is their litmus test – if he doesn’t do this, they will not vote for him.  Again, all the more need to make up for those voters by getting traditional stay-at-homes-because-they’re-just-lazy-or-“too busy” to get to the polls.  And that will only happen with a personal touch.

Anecdotally, here’s an example of the sentiment out there.  This is from a retired Navy nurse whom I recruited to become a PC via Redstate.com in VA.  She’s married to a retired Naval Academy grad and I’ve met them in person at the first Redstate gathering in 2009 in Atlanta.  She’s a pro-life conservative and greatly fears for the future of the country if Obama is re-elected.  But even she has doubts as to how she’ll vote if Romney is the nominee, and the Etch-a-Sketch comment today did not help.  Here are here comments on a conservative e-mail list I’m on that includes conservative precinct committeeman from around the country:

I suspect most of us will vote for Romney, but the fact that he is everything we've been fighting against regarding the GOP establishment, makes it tough.  And today, one of his campaign people said this:

HOST: Is there a concern that Santorum and Gingrich might force the governor to tack so far to the right it would hurt him with moderate voters in the general election?

FEHRNSTROM: Well, I think you hit a reset button for the fall campaign. Everything changes. It’s almost like an Etch A Sketch. You can kind of shake it up and restart all over again.

I believe that Romney is like an Etch A Sketch, he will say whatever required to get the nomination, and then erase it all.  Of course, he is better than Obama, but IF he should win, he'll keep many of the disastrous progressive/liberal moves in place.

Here’s another example:  http://www.redstate.com/dhorowitz3/2012/03/21/mitt-romney-the-consu...

A “high level” marketing campaign consisting of signs, radio ads, TV ads, robo calls, etc. is not, in my opinion, going to overcome the Obama re-election machine.  Mitt needs to reinvigorate the American people with a spirit of civic duty to help their country in a time of crisis.  He needs to stress the urgency of the situation.  Scare them with the facts.  Be upbeat, and explain how with just a little bit of effort from millions of Americans, who probably have never made a GOTV phone call before, we can win this election and finally take back our government and reverse the idiotic policies of the bone-headed socialists and Marxists now destroying our republic.  And the BEST places to unite and organize is both at their local Republican Party committee meeting and with the campaigns of the candidates of their choice.

It needs to come from him.  He’s the candidate.  And if he does the above, not only will he greatly increase his chances of winning, but he’ll forever be known as the guy who inspired Americans to come to the aid of their country when they were needed by uniting and organizing politically.

You may forward this up the chain of command.  Best number to reach me on is my cell:  (XXX) XXX-XXXX.

Here’s a link to my presentation of this strategy, which I call The Neighborhood Precinct Committeeman Strategy, at the RightOnline conference last summer along with PCs from MN, WI, TX and IL who made short presentations about the successes they’ve had in their respective locales.  http://www.redstate.com/elronaldo/2011/06/23/bear-witness-30-people...

It’s just basic American Civics in action.  Unfortunately, the progressives have been successful in getting real Civics out of the government schools.  The most common question I would get from grass roots conservatives, even some long time Republican “activists,” was, “What’s a precinct committeeman?”

And the leftists don’t even really know this, either.  If you really want to be entertained, go here and watch the video.

Why didn't Romney do this?

Because "establishment Republicans" want your votes, your volunteer hours, your money, etc., but the LAST thing they want from you is participation inside the Party.

So, what are you going to DO about it?  It's not their job to educate you.  It's YOURS.

It's not their job to teach you basic American civics. It's YOUR job.

"We the People" will, or will not, figure out the basics of winning elections, or we won't.

Sit on the sidelines, or get into the real ball game of politics?

Thank you,

Cold Warrior
