Parents Children and God's Instructions

Scattered through here are verses about our responsibility before God to teach our children.

You can see we've failed miserably. So it gives plenty of food for repentance.

Other verses are left in as encouragement to follow God.

POINT:

It makes a difference when we obey God or excuse ourselves from obedience with any rationalization.

Victory in Iraq

Since it's not been mentioned in the news, I thought I'd pipe up and declare victory in Iraq. The mission was to create an environment in which the Iraqi people could create a representative democracy. Then we would leave. Our troops pulled out of Iraq's urban centers today, completing the last phase of turning over security for these areas to the Iraqi government. Minnesota's Senatorial Election vs. Iran's Election

How can it not be obvious that Minnesota's methodology is as invalid as Iran's (or North Korea, for that matter?) Votes are tossed, some are added...all without a valid reason. If the precedent established in Bush v. Gore does not apply to Minnesota, then it's lights out because elections will be stolen all the time now.
