- At the elem school my daughter used to go to ( and the one my 8 yr old currently goes to), there is alot of single, unemployed mom's. Most live in the apt complex right next door to the school.(Its section 8 housing) Then right next to that is an all nude strip club. (aka Dancing girls, tattoo parlor) I always thought that these clubs were not supposed to be that close to the schools, I guess in my city it don't matter. That elem school is bad news. But, I am not allowed (according to school dist) to put my son anywhere else, because of the school boundary map. There is an elem school directly across from my home subdiv, but I am not allowed to put my children there. There is alot of hoods' that take thier kids to the elem school. They are very verbal and threaten and cause fights, but nobody says nothing out of fear of lawsuit. Why? B/c the majority who go there are black or muslim. Am pulling my son out in May, when the school is over. In the meantime, I keep my eyes and ears open and I am ready. Pretty darn sad, isn't it? One of the kids in my son's class got suspended for pulling a knife on another 7 yr old in the school bus. After 2 days, the kid was back in school. We live in a very sad society. Filled with greed and hatred. They don't have to have a reason to hate you either. They all hold the ball too, so you are not able to legally defend yourself.
