Layoffs in the oil industry
We knew it was coming but we were hoping it wouldn't happen for another year or so. We have a close-knit group of friends from Baton Rouge whose husbands are pipe designers (AutoCad, etc...). Many of them took jobs in Alaska a couple years ago to make the big bucks. It was wonderful and we spent a fortune going back and forth and buying things we couldn't afford to buy before...but we also saved a little bit.

Obama to seek assault weapons ban

That's it!!! I've had it. Apparently, we're going to get rid of assault weapons because that would be good for Mexico. Since when are we giving a flying you-know-what about Mexico and their issues?
It's my right to own the weapon of my choice and this "plant" has no right to ban anything whatsoever to do with me protecting myself from a corrupt government and/or a corrupt neighbor.
