Mr. Marcus, I salute you.  And I will stand with you.  Thank you for speaking out!  As a youngster during the 40's living in Virginia and walking to school barefoot with the white children on one side of the road and the blacks on the opposite side of the road and dividing again as we separated into our different schools, then walking home as we had gone, we changed our clothes and proceeded to haul water for Grandma Mose who lived behind us in the woods while she smoked her corncob pipe and prepared roasted peanuts in her wood stove on a hot spring day to deliver to us  our reward, not one of us found falt with the other's color.  We slopped pigs together, we plowed with the mule together, we pulled weeds together and we shared the garden produce together at summer's end.  They called us Soda Cracker and we called them Oreo's but laughed at each others remarks. Our parents collected clothing to help her grandchildren get ready for a new school year;  I don't ever rmember "race" being any more of an issue.  I asked one time, why do you sit in the back of the bus?  The answer was, you stink!  Laughter again.  As I grew up I thought the racist lie was perpetuated by the politicians and to this day, I don't like slurs, name calling, or mean innuendos.  I just plain don't like dirty politics, regardless of the color.  I see no reason to stoop down so low that we grovel in the dirt - even to make a point.  Good manners, courtesy, equality in citizenship are all rewards for being raised decent Americans.  Thank you, Brother Marcus, for being that un-hyphenated American.  Personally I am a Heinz 57 and would hate to see the tag given to me!  LOL.

Technically, we are all Abraham's children.  That way we can be politically correct.
