I taught my own children at the appropriate age about sex and about people who were not hetro sexual. Parents should take on that responsiblity and not the teachers. Since I am a Christian, I want to impart my Christian values and in my opinion, this belongs at home with parents educating themselves how to present this material in a manner that is age appropriate and with the values of the parents imparted to the child. Being an Episcopalian, I am very accepting of homosexuality and feel we are all God's children. This is one of the values that I would impart. But I would not want my child at age nine to know about these things.

As I grew up I thought the racist lie was perpetuated by the politicians and to this day, I don't like slurs, name calling, or mean innuendos. I just plain don't like dirty politics, regardless of the color. I see no reason to stoop down so low that we grovel in the dirt - even to make a point. Good manners, courtesy, equality in citizenship are all rewards for being raised decent Americans. Thank you, Brother Marcus, for being that un-hyphenated American. Personally I am a Heinz 57 and would hate to see the tag given to me! LOL.

Technically, we are all Abraham's children. That way we can be politically correct.
