Border Security/Amnesty: Krauthammer approach

I'd be one of those that would be more likely to accept a form of amnesty if the border were protected against further invasion.

Michele, me too!

 

Border security FIRST (so we don't just keep having amnesty after amnesty), then reform the system so hard-working, honest, migrant workers can come and go legally, and last of all give a path to citizenship to those currently here illegally--with important conditions (learn English, no criminal record, ability to sustain themselves and not be on welfare...)

 

I wonder how many others who, like Krauthammer, are opposed to "amnesty first," but would be open to amnesty AFTER border security (real border security)?
