President Obama keeps telling us what might not be paid if the debt ceiling isn't raised.

That's the wrong answer to a question that America isn't even asking.

This new iCaucus Video calls on the President to answer the real question:

"Mr. President,  if the debt ceiling isn't raised and you're not planning on paying our debt obligations, or social security, or  medicaid, or our military personnel...even though you will have more than enough money to do so...then what's more important and what will you be paying instead with the $180 billion that the government will keep collecting every month?"

Obama is proposing 110 billion in NEW spending increases in addition to all the tax increases he wants the he calls "closing tax loopholes". Everyone knows that is democrat code for "raising taxes so we can keep spending off the backs of tax payers" liberal speak.

A majority of Americans do not want to increase the debtceiling, know that the sky will not fall if we do not, and understand it would force the democrat politicians to cut spending.

Tea party Conservatives stand squarely against raising the debt ceiling except for Lindsey Grahm. Despite signing the pledge to cut cap and balance he is on the record as saying that "closing tax loopholes" is great. Taxes increases at this time are not great. They are destructive.

Tax cuts generate the economic growth needed to create jobs and generate the revenues required to pay down the debt but democrats don't want to do that do they?

Marco Rubio got it right when he said we need to get Americans back to work not continue failed economic policies that will only put more people out of work.

Come next election time we need not only vote against Obama and the statist democrats but also the confused RINOs who are so clueless in the face of this mess.

I think Obama is concerned about the Tea Party movement. I just wish I had more confidence in the integrity of the election process.
Comment by Christy on May 9, 2011 at 2:44pm

Great News: Conservative candidates did so well in the debate last week that Obama wants Mitch Daniels to run against him (Washington Post).

Obama and RINOs are affraid of the tea party.

The Hill: Sen. Demint Gets Rare Meeting To Discuss Finance Committee Vacancy

By Matt Kibbe on May 08, 2011

Last week I asked you to help support one of the Tea Party movement's best allies in the U.S. Senate, Sen. Jim DeMint, in his pursuit of a seat on the Senate Finance Committee. I told you that a rock-solid fiscal conservative, a guy with the nickname "Senator Tea Party", desperately needed our help to convince Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell to give him a seat on this powerful committee.

Guess what? Your calls are working.

"In a sign of the growing power of conservatives within the Senate Republican Conference, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell held a rare meeting with Sen. Jim DeMint," reports The Hill about the Finance Committee vacancy. "It also signals that DeMint’s stature within the Senate GOP conference has grown with the emergence of the Tea Party as a national force."

So keep up the pressure

It was a very good job by Mr. Cain. I know in this day of sound bites everybody expects instant responses, but I appreciate a person who is willing to examine the information and work to reach a logical solution as to how to SOLVE the problem. And if you don't have all of the pertinent information it's hard to reach a sound bite conclusion. I prefer a leader who is a thinker before being a doer rather than the reverse.
Comment by Loretta A. Estrella on May 6, 2011 at 12:25am

I think that Mr. Cain won the debate.  I noticed that Pawlenty, Santorum gave political answers, Ron Paul and Gov. Johnson were a little to extreme in my personal opinion, Mr. Cain answers everything in detail and without flourish and the panel of citizens graded Cain as the winner, because he was straightforward, no political speak and common sense.

Comment by Valerie Eggers on May 5, 2011 at 11:03pm
I like Cain, but I am not even near an actual supporting roll for anyone. I like Santorum and have for a long time.
Comment by Christy on May 5, 2011 at 10:41pm
Herman Cain is the man. He won the debate. Rick Santorum did well too.
