How Do You Take Power in Nevada This Year? ...

... By becoming a precinct committeeman or delegate from the precinct where you vote.

>>> Nevada Precinct Caucuses Approaching /p>

While all the media are focused on the presidential and other federal elections. There is a small local election that you won't hear anything about on the news or from the blogosphere. From Las Vegas to Reno to Elko, voters will be attending caucuses on February 4th in their local communities to elect delegates to the county party convention and to elect committeemen to the county party central committee.

And if you're just not getting enough presidential politics, after the delegate and committeeman elections, you can also participate in the presidential poll. That might be the sizzle, but it's not the steak.

When you're elected as a delegate or precinct committeeman, it's you, not the registered voter, who will have a say in how your political party is run for the next two years.

To learn more about what committeemen are, if you don't already know, take a minute and read Precinct Committeeman - A Center of Power. To find out how easy it is to be elected in Nevada, take a look at Nevada Precinct Caucus. To get an idea of what to expect, you can also accept an invitation to How Do You Take Power This Year? ....

Fine-sounding rhetoric doesn't accomplish much. I'm challenging you to take the single most powerful action that ordinary people like us can take. Join the conference call for Nevada voters who want to shake up the status quo in your political party this year.

Unless you're an invalid and never leave your home, this is something that you CAN do.

The conference call is set for Sunday, January 29th at 5:00 p.m. (Pacific). If you're getting your appendix removed on that day, the call will be recorded, but you should really try to join the live call where you can get your questions answered.

The call will focus on the specifics of getting elected in Nevada at your caucus on February 4th. Some of the information applies equally to many other states, so even if you don't live in Nevada, you will learn something.

This is your last chance to gain this powerful position for the next two years. Don't be kicking yourself later for missing this opportunity.

To get the teleconference details, text 'Nevada PC' with your name and e-mail address to (973)498-8066 or sign up at Project City Hall.

President Obama keeps telling us what might not be paid if the debt ceiling isn't raised.

That's the wrong answer to a question that America isn't even asking.

This new iCaucus Video calls on the President to answer the real question:

"Mr. President,  if the debt ceiling isn't raised and you're not planning on paying our debt obligations, or social security, or  medicaid, or our military personnel...even though you will have more than enough money to do so...then what's more important and what will you be paying instead with the $180 billion that the government will keep collecting every month?"

Dear President Obama:

I am writing today with a somewhat unusual request. I will be asking that you return America to its August 20th, 1959 borders so that Hawaii is no longer a state and you are no longer a citizen.

Paul,

You are likely referring to Sharron Angle. She is too much of a constitutionalist to be voted for by most of the Sheeple.

I have no problem with her stand on most issues, but I guess that is just my redneckedness coming out.

Dean Heller is / was a great Rep. for Nevada .  I thought I read somewhere that the lady who ran for a Senate seat ( her name escapes me this morning )  is interested in the position .  I know it wasn't Sue Lowden  ...  dang .  I'd better go check and see if I still have Medicare before that hits the chopping block .

Hmm ...  She was a hit with the Tea Party !

Ensign voted 94% conservative...hardly a RINO. I saw him as just another career politician wannabe. Didn't like or dislike the guy. Sure as heck didn't appreciate his relative silence on illegal immigration though and his failure to connect with constituents. Heller is the logical choice for replacement. My concern is who will be Heller's replacement? It has been a long, long time since I've been satisfied with my rep as I've been with Heller who, as matter of fact, votes lower than Ensign on conservative issues at 88% and has been publicly silent on immigration issues as well.
