President Obama keeps telling us what might not be paid if the debt ceiling isn't raised.
That's the wrong answer to a question that America isn't even asking.
This new iCaucus Video calls on the President to answer the real question:
"Mr. President, if the debt ceiling isn't raised and you're not planning on paying our debt obligations, or social security, or medicaid, or our military personnel...even though you will have more than enough money to do so...then what's more important and what will you be paying instead with the $180 billion that the government will keep collecting every month?"

(Dundalk Patch) Opponents of the Maryland DREAM Act are one step closer to letting voters decide if illegal immigrants should receive in-state tuition discounts when they attend colleges and universities in the state.
On Wednesday, the State Board of Elections certified more than 47,000 petition signatures, leaving petition sponsors with little more than 8,000 signatures to collect by the June 30 deadline.
“We issued the letter of certification to the petition sponsor [MDPetitions.com] today,” said Donna Duncan, Election Management Division Director, State Board of Elections. “There were 47,288 accepted signatures [and] 10,217 rejected signatures. The group needs an additional 8,448.”

In order to avoid a government shutdown on April 8, members from both sides of the aisle continue budget negotiations behind closed doors. Tea Party activist held a rally, named "Continuing Revolution," outside the Capitol today urging Republicans to stand their ground over proposed spending cuts, as part of the budget debate.
Tea Party Patriots, a grassroots organization, were protesting against members of Congress who continue to fund the government through the continuing resolutions. House members under their radar included Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-OH) and Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA), as well as other Republican leaders. Speakers at the event included: Reps. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) and Mike Pence (R-IN).
"Members of Congress have abandoned their service to the people by passing continuing resolutions instead of cutting the $100 billion they pledged," said Mark Meckler and Jenny Beth Martin, National Coordinators of the Tea Party Patriots in a press release to the media. "Is it lack of leadership? Is it a lack of courage? A real budget will spark a national debate on the role of government, and that's what the American people want," they adde
Comment by Chuck on March 20, 2011 at 8:51pm Maryland Family,
We both know Washington has a spending problem.
We cannot continue to spend our way out of debt. We need to take the first step toward financial stability and Cut Spending Now. Hardworking taxpayers like you already feel the burden of “spend now, pay later” politics.
It’s time that spend-crazed politicians in Washington feel the pressure too.
Join us Wednesday, April 6th at 12 PM Noon in Washington, DC to tell the Budget Committee to Cut Spending Now. They need to hear from you as they crunch numbers and grapple with this year’s budget. You’ve had to tighten your family budget in this struggling economy. They should have to tighten the national budget too.
We will be joined by Congresswoman Michele Bachmann and AFP President Tim Phillips to demand our legislators rein in out-of-control spending and get Maryland and our great nation back on the path to prosperity.
Please, join us for this critical rally on Wednesday, April 6th at 12 PM Noon at our nation's Capitol.
As the House Budget Committee begins marking up the federal budget and we must be there to send a clear message to CUT SPENDING NOW!
We cannot continue to spend at this rate and we cannot continue to mortgage our children and grandchildren’s future.
I hope to see you there!
Sincerely,
Charles Lollar
