11.16.10 UPDATE
PUSH BACK rate reaches 5,000 emails an hour to decision makers!
Keep on sending those messages! PLEASE CALL YOUR SENATORS!

Campaign for Libertybroke the story earlier today [Monday 11.15.10] that S.510, the horrific, fake “food safety” bill (and possibly its evil companions, S.3767 and the discredited S.3002) will be pushed through the Lame Duck Congress this week. It is definitely on the Obama Lame Duck Agenda. Our friends in DC have confirmed this.

Update: 11.15.10 10 PM: Tea Party Nation reports: “On Wednesday, there will be a cloture vote on Senate bill S.510.”

Please forward this message widely. Please "take the Action Item" below each day this week, for each person in your family!

If you need information about the bills, see our Talking Points here:

Our action item, to email US Senators, is here:

Last November 150,000 emails held the bill in committee for nearly a year; WE NEED EVEN MORE PUSH BACK RIGHT NOW!

This Bill, S. 510 an others like it, are not about Food Safety, they are about Control and Stopping us, you and me from growing a back yard garden...please read the entire story, the links are posted below....

Food Freedom Talking Points: Stop S.510

RED ALERT: LAME DUCK SENATE poised to pass S.510 Nov/Dec 2010 -

Take this Action every day! Stop S.510! Stop S.3767! FLOOD THE SENATE WITH EMAILS!

Food Freedom Talking Points
Please use these “Food Freedom Talking Points” to educate our new Congresspeople and seek their commitment to promoting local, wholesome food production by supporting the Food Freedom Amendment!

The House passed the so-called “Food Safety” bill, HR 4739 in July 2009, sending it to the Senate where it is being considered as S.510. After strong public opposition, a companion bill, S.3002, touting so-called “Dietary Supplement Safety” was abandoned, but S.3767, with an unprecedented extension of criminal penalties for “food crimes” was rushed forward in the last days of the September session. The Senate HELP committee “marked-up” S.510 and the Manager’s Amendments sent to the Floor as the Senate went into recess with the threat that the bills would be pushed after the Election by the ‘lame-duck” Congress. These bills remains very controversial and should reconsidered by the new Congress being elected this year.
1. The “Manager’s Amendments” do not satisfy our Food Freedom Amendment Citizens Petition which demands a new law protecting our local, natural, GMO-Free, wholesome food production exemplified by family farms and ranches, home food businesses, home and community gardens and local farmers’ markets. The Amendment, which must be included in any Food Safety bill states:

“No provision of Federal Law giving regulatory oversight to any Federal department or agency shall be deemed to apply (a) to any home, home-business, homestead, home or community gardens, small farm, organic or natural agricultural activity, (b) to any family farm or ranch, or (c) to any natural or organic food product, including dietary supplements, as protected under the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994.”

Hi Linda,
Thanks for bringing S.510 to my attention. I e-mailed Sen. Vitter with the following:

Dear Sir:
Congrulations on your recent election to the U.S Senate once again. As a constituent, I have e-mailed you on several occasions. This time I am e-mailing in the hope that you will remove your name from the sponsorship of S.510 and that you will indeed vote AGAINST this bill. Americans are tired of the over-reaching arm of the Government and have said as much during the mid-term elections. Please do not make me regret the vote that I cast for you on Nov. 2nd.

I just got off the phone with Senator David Vitter's office at the Capital in Washington, D.C. His assistant , listened to me and was very gracious. I explain to her that all these, so called "Food Safety" bills, that are coming up in the House and Senate, and the one below that Senator Vitter, is a co-sponsor not about safety, but about control and regulation of the citizens of the USA.

To keep us, those that grow gardens in our back, from doing just that!..These Food Safety Bills, DO NOT , exempt residential back yard gardens...under the language that all of these Bills are written in, one would think that they will only apply to commercial growers, this is far from the truth...they the government and the FDA, will be able to use these "New Laws", (if pass) against us, residential back yard garden growers.

Please call your Senators and Rep's, today...and ask them to vote NO, on all these Food Safety Bill. And send them this link ... The End Of Liberty! Ask them to please watch this video, S.510, it is mentioned in this video........

Even if you yourself do not grow a garden, please help the rest of us that enjoy this that it may continue.... Go to and read these bills. ( All of the bills, are posted on my wall page on Face Book)

Thank you.

Fellow Conservatives -

Today is Election Day and there are nearly 650 Republican candidates on the ballot that need your support. There is a statewide election to elect our next Lieutenant Governor, a multi-parish race to nominate our Republican candidate for the 3rd Congressional District, and scores of down-ballot but critically important races for mayor, city council, and school board.

Our candidates have worked hard, but now it is up to you to carry them to victory. Have you voted?

If you have - have your friends? Has your neighbor? What about your cousin or your grandparents? You won't know unless you ask - so give them a call, offer them a ride, and make sure they vote - it's important.

Voting began at 6am this morning and the polls won't close until 8pm. Click here to find your polling place.

Here at LA GOP HQ's at 530 Lakeland Dr. in Baton Rouge we'll be making calls all day to help turn out our voters. If you're in the area, please stop by for an hour or two and give us a hand. If you'd like to help from home, give us a call at 225-389-4495 and we'll get you set up. Your efforts could make all the difference.

Have you voted?
