Talk is cheap.

Sadly, as our national debt continues to soar,

talk is the only thing President Obama and his

liberal cohorts in Congress can seemingly do.

Actions are always better than words.

That's why the American Conservative Union (ACU),

our nation's oldest and largest grassroots conservative

organization, honored me with their "Defender of Liberty"

Award for earning a 100% ACU rating and ranking me as

Florida's most conservative member of Congress!

As a Conservative, I'm proud to have taken action -

whether it was voting to defund NPR, fighting alongside

Senator Marco Rubio against job-killing EPA regulations,

or stopping Congress from funding a $450 million jet engine

that Pentagon didn't even want!

Last November you sent a clear message to Washington -

CUT WASTEFUL GOVERNMENT SPENDING.

The entire country heard the message...

President Barack Obama and the tax and spend liberals

in Congress didn't.

Today, I'm asking you to stand with me and defend

our conservative principles. Our values and principles

as true conservatives are being tested. But expressing

our concern and our outrage is not enough. We need to

organize, mobilize and fight to take our nation back.

Together we can get Florida and our nation back on

the right track.

Thank you for all you've done and all you're going to do.

NOTE2: I've made suggestions to vote for some Statists. Where our candidates were defeated in the primary; I believe that those suggested are the weaker candidate and can be more readily defeated next time.
NOTE3: Please double check my suggestions, I'm just one of many and am sure to have missed something. I had a difficult time researching the judges and the City of Fort Pierce Referendum. As the old saying goes, "The Confused Mind Says No!"

Dear Patriots,

It is my opinion that Amendment’s 5 and 6 are Trojan Horses for the Statists.

FairDistrictsFlorida.org is chaired by the former Mayor of Miami, Manny Diaz and his Treasurer is Attorney Richard Berkowitz. Berkowitz has donated thousands of dollars to Democrat Congressman Ron Klein who most South Floridians know as a rubber-stamp for Speaker Pelosi’s and President Obama’s designs to discard the Constitution and usher in a Socialist tyranny.

The Ballot Summary is enticing to a conservative; especially the third sentence. However, sentence two raises some “red flags” for me. Does that mean an incumbent Republican could not have his district redrawn to encompass a neighborhood that has historically voted Democrat? I can only imagine how an activist judge would rule on that! Look, I’m a Divemaster, not a political scientist. I don’t know exactly what this would lead to; but I do have a “commie radar” and it’s wailing in my ears!

They’ve been collecting money for these Amendments since 2006. Who have they been collecting from you ask? In 2007 ACORN gave them $25,000. Do you share the values of ACORN? In the same year Alan Grayson, yes that Alan Grayson, donated $12,000 for Amendments 5 and 6 too. Robert Wexler even donated $25,000 from his campaign committee. Need I say more?

Ok, if you’re not fully convinced here’s a couple more:

Emily’s List – They promote Pro-Abortion Politicians - $12,065.35

Florida Education Association – Teacher’s Union - $650,000.00

Florida Ballot Watch Committee – Who are these guys? - $500,000.00

League of Conservation Voters – Liberals? - $50,000.00

National Education Association – Socialist Teacher’s Union - $359,570.36

Rockefeller Family Fund – Socialists - $131,000.00

SEIU – Commie Union Thugs - $625,000.00

Teamsters – See Above - $23,750.00

One Thousand Six-Hundred and Thirteen Lawyers contributed $1,118,750.02

I am a Christian and a Conservative. NONE of these groups share my values, in fact, we’re diametrically opposed! They are the enemies of Liberty.

Vote NO on 4, 5 and 6! Interested in investigating the donors? Send an e-mail to: swathdiver@yahoo.com and I’ll send you the excel spreadsheet I made from this data:

Rooney Urges Swift Action From USDA for Freeze Victims

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Tom Rooney (R-Fla.) joined members of the Florida Congressional Delegation urging Department of Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack to act promptly to assist Florida agriculture growers recover from damage caused by the recent freeze.

“I have been in contact with local farmers since last week, and I have been working with Florida’s Congressional Delegation to ensure the federal response to the freeze is prompt and efficient once a disaster declaration is issued,” said Rooney. “We encourage the Florida Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Department of Agriculture to quickly evaluate the damage as it becomes evident, some of which might not be known for several more days and weeks. Agriculture in Florida, and specifically in the 16th district, plays a significant role in our economy and the effects of this freeze could be devastating to the industry and region. I will continue to work to assist in any way possible to help Florida’s farmers.”

Rooney Statement on Freeze
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Tom Rooney (R-Fla.) released the following statement regarding the freezing temperatures throughout South Florida:

“In response to the freezing temperatures throughout Florida last night and anticipated through the week, my office and I have been in contact with growers across the 16th district and will continue to monitor the situation. As growers begin to report preliminary damage to citrus and vegetable crops I stand ready to work with various federal agencies to help provide relief should a disaster declaration be issued. I am pleased to see the Governor issued an executive order lifting truck weight restrictions, allowing growers to harvest and transport crops to avoid the freeze.”

LITTLE JOHNNY IS NOT AN OBAMA FAN

A teacher asked her 6th grade class how many
of them were Obama fans.

Not really knowing what an Obama fan is,
but wanting to be liked by the teacher,
all the kids raised their hands except for little Johnny.

The teacher asked little Johnny why he
has decided to be different again.

Little Johnny said, "Because I'm not an Obama fan."

The teacher asked, "Why aren't you a fan of Obama?"

Johnny said, “Because I'm a Republican."

The teacher asked him, “Why are you a Republican.”

Little Johnny answered,
"Well, my Mom's a Republican and my
Dad's a Republican, so I'm a Republican."

Annoyed by this answer, the teacher asked,
"If your mom were a moron
and your dad were an idiot, what would that make you?"

With a big smile, little Johnny replied,

“That would make me an Obama fan."
