Comment by Kathryn McEwen on January 5, 2013 at 3:32am The 113th Congress is officially in session, and with it, a major push for a mass amnesty is expected to begin sooner rather than later. Running across the front page of this morning's Washington Post was the headline:
Obama prioritizing immigrant issues: Executive authority is used to further ease deportation rules.
The article focused on a new DHS rule that protects illegal aliens who are awaiting approval of a visa application from deportation and the 3-year/10-year bars should they be detected. But the article quickly shifted to the ongoing discussion of "comprehensive immigration reform" and Pres. Obama's continued insistance that passing a bill is one of his top priorities after the fiscal cliff is dealt with.
Comment by Kathryn McEwen on December 27, 2012 at 3:18am Memo, unleashed during the holiday season. This is just the latest in a series of enforcement-sabotaging memos from ICE chief John Morton. Morton memo will make it more difficult for local police to detain illegal alien criminal suspects through the 287(g) deportation program. The directive states that “three or more convictions for minor traffic misdemeanors or other relatively minor misdemeanors alone should not trigger a detainer unless the convictions reflect a clear and continuing danger to others or disregard for the law.” The memo builds on other Morton directives aimed at limiting the scope of immigration enforcement at the behest of open-borders leftists (see here and here).
Read the document for yourselves:
Comment by Kathryn McEwen on December 19, 2012 at 4:06am Documents the Boston Globe obtained from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) reveal that immigration officials have freed over 8,500 aliens convicted of crimes such as murder and rape since 2008. (Boston Globe, Dec. 9, 2012) These releases are attributable mainly to the Supreme Court's ruling in Zadvydas v. Davis, in which the Court held that an alien who had completed his sentence but whose country of origin refused repatriation could not be detained indefinitely. (See Zadvydas v. Davis,533 U.S. 678 (2001)) Currently, over twenty governments worldwide refuse to repatriate criminal nationals from the United States. (Boston Globe, Dec. 9, 2012)
Of particular concern is the underhanded nature by which DHS carries out the process of releasing these criminal aliens. First, ICE rarely attempts to utilize protocols that would permit a criminal alien to be kept in custody longer. The Boston Globe's analysis of the ICE records reveal that of the thousands of criminal aliens ICE has released since 2008, there were only 13 instances where ICE attempted to petition the courts to lengthen a criminal alien's detention period on the grounds of the alien posing a danger to the public. (Id.)
In addition, ICE repeatedly refuses to disclose the names of released criminal aliens. According to ICE, the privacy of criminal aliens outweighs American citizens' need for awareness. DHS spokesman Matthew Chandler told theBoston Globe, "in the absence of any identified public interest or explanation as to how the disclosure of the arrestees' information will advance that interest, the personal privacy interests will prevail." (Id.)
According to the Boston Globe, ICE has expressly refused on over twenty occasions to provide the names of the criminal aliens who have been released since 2008. (Boston Globe, Dec. 9, 2012) The paper has nowfiled a lawsuit to continue its attempts to uncover the names of criminal aliens ICE has released. (Id.)

US RISKING ANOTHER BENGHAZI IN MEXICO BY NOT ARMING AGENTS?
Comment by Marge Wall on August 18, 2012 at 4:53am Like the Mexican freeloader waving the Mexican Flag at the Olympics, Mexico, Drug Cartels and Socialists are ecstatic with joy.
Mexico unloads it's criminals and poorest..... The Drug Cartels get more access and the Socialists load up on new voters, which is how they were able to grow strong in the first place since Americans weren't joining up.... Over the last three decades, socialism has used immigration to swell their ranks and now they are close to taking over.
Ted Kennedy saw to that..... Bless his lying, lecherous heart.
Politicians, Hollywood activists, Political Pundits, the media, the UN and the Mexican Government have all told the American people that there is nothing they can do to stop it and they've told us that soooo many times, that we've all but stopped trying.
Oh. What the Hell...."Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow,"
Except for all the handouts to the millions of freeloaders, American Citizenship doesn't mean much anymore.... It's given away free to anyone who demands it. No strings attached.......
The handouts and freebies (aka "Rights" ) are what the Mexicans, Muslims, and all the other third world denizens care about as they arrogantly March, Lobby, Protest and make demand upon demand for accommodation and "Their Rights".
Try behaving like that in any of their countries and you'd lose your head in a heartbeat, right after they lynch their Politicians.
Comment by Lou on July 11, 2012 at 1:27pm http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/07/10/closure-border-patrol-st... MORE BORDER PATROL STATIONS CLOSED - INSANITY!!! THIS WILL MEAN MORE VOTES FOR OBAMA IN THE NEAR PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION AND MORE DANGER TO THE STATES WHERE STATIONS ARE BEING CLOSED!
Comment by Debrajoe Smith-Beatty on February 10, 2012 at 8:47pm I want the American borders secured.
