Romney is a Progressive.Just like John McCain......just like Barack Obama. He is a stateist. A person who thinks government and more of it is the answer to Americas problems. To understand Romney look how he thinks. He thinks its ok to impost state health insurance on the citizens of Massachusetts. Is Mass a place to go to have LOWER taxes ? Heck no ! Locals call it "TAXACHUCHETTS". Those with jobs that can, live in New Hampshire and commute into Mass if they can.
We need a president who will restore the SPIRIT of America. Someone who is NOT part of that polluted pool of politicians connected to the Washington establishment. Someone who will fight the political establishment of both party's to reduce the size, scope intrusiveness,of Washington and TURN BACK THE CLOCK ....and make Washington's influence in our lives much smaller.
Kate...it don't git much better than this, do it?
Herman Cain's plan -- the transition to the FAIR Tax -- is actually brilliant...and I really like the idea that everyone gets some skin the game...Are you aware that about half of the 47-percent who pay no Federal taxes at all are actually absolved of all taxation? It's true...
Their absolution comes in the form the Earned Income Credit, the algorithm for which is built around the FICA taxes, sales taxes, fuel excise taxes and so on that a family of four living at the poverty level would have paid during the tax year and compensates them for their tax expenditures.
The beauty of Cain's plan is that even the lowest income people will have a little something invested in the social contract...whereas now they have no reason to care about efficiency in government, just so long as they get their check every month...with all the damage that check causes.
BTW: I thought Hermie did a bang-up job at tonight's debate...he held his own and even managed to score points in the face of sustained fire from all quarters.. Go Hermie!

"If Bill Bennett is still healthy enough and available, he'd be the perfect guy to oversee the demotion of the Federal Department of Education. is supposed to read
"demolition of the Federal..."
...and I forgot about the Department of Energy...DOEn needs to go away, aong with the EPA and Endangered Species Act and all of the bureucracy associated with them, and the core responsibilities of each transferred to a Congressionally sponsored commission chartered to deal only with fully peer-reviewed science...the commission would not have regulatory authority but could submit recommended legislation that would require a two-thirds majority of both houses and Presidential signature for each bill of regulation...There are among Conservatives the right people to sit on such a commission...and I think Cain can induce the best minds in the country to join in the effort to rebuild our nation.
Patty & Kate...absolutely correct on all counts! I'm not real high on Romney but if he gets the nomination I'll for him six times on Tuesday and three more on Sunday (y'all know that expression, yes?)
I much prefer Cain...I know him a bit because of some Army Reserve Command events in Atlanta that he helped us with...that was back in 2002-3 and I remember being so impressed with him that I thought 'this guy would make a great President.' The following year he began his run for US Senate, which he lost because he made some very amateurish mistakes in the campaign...I don't see any of those errors now...not only is he a smart guy, he's mentally agile and can adjust, learn and apply the lessons to his next task. Among all the candidates I think Cain has the most to offer to America...not just us Conservatives, but the whole nation...
The two smartest guys in the campaign 'room' are Newt and Hermie -- and I think they'd make the best ticket...Cain/Newt...Cain to lead and Newt, the consumate political strategist and a high-level thinker can guide Hermie through the complicated and difficult work of legislating and governing...
Huntsman is suave but I don't think he's mentally agile...he is an ideologue and a compromiser in a time when compromise with the Left can be fatal to us...but I think he's the obvious choice for SecState...
Bachmann has great potential but I think has been badly advised and she's a bit doctrinaire for my tastes...I think she'd be the perfect person to manage the reform and consolidation of Commerce, Transportation, Agriculture and Interior into a single smaller, less powerful, advisory agency with very limited regulatory authority...
Perry is an excellent Governor and will be the right guy to oversee the complete redesign of DHS, but I don't think his Texas experience can translate to the national level...
Romney seems not to have many core principles...he's a pragmatic politician with the killer instinct one needs to win and govern...If we elect him we'll need to put into the Congress the most Conservative people we possibly can in order to keep as much pressure on him as possible to do our will...but on his worst day he'll be 1,000-times more constitutional than BHO on his most legal day.
Ron Paul and Garry Whatshisface are entertaining also-rans...both are loons, although Goofy Garry has a couple of pretty interesting ideas.
If Bill Bennett is still healthy enough and available, he'd be the perfect guy to oversee the demotion of the Federal Department of Education.
And here's something out of the blue -- I think one of the people who should be considered for Secretary of Defense is Martha Roby...Yes, Our Martha! She's one of the brightest stars in the 2010 Conservative Freshman Class in the House...on both the full Agriculture and Defense committees, she is making a real name for herself and works really hard to learn the important lessons...She's pro-Defense and a great Cain supporter...If we're going to save Defense as a viable force to protect us from the existential threat of Chinese expansionism we need Martha or someone like her at the helm.
On the whole, we have a great field of patriots from which to choose this time...but I think Cain is the man...and Patty, you are exactly right about getting out to support him.
Comment by Kate Svagdis on October 17, 2011 at 2:38pm Don't you know he is just another globalist? He attended the Bilderberg meeting recently and they told him to run. I guess they figure Obo is going to lose and need another dunce in the whitehouse to finish taking the US down.
We need to spread the word as fast as we can!
Comment by Robert McKenna on August 17, 2011 at 5:59am Look out Alabama ! Look out America ! We've got a new trojan horse.
Rick Perry, who spoke in nice soft terms to La Raza and agrees with the Dream Act is appearing as a charismatic, energistic candidate for president.
There is no way that anyone who even remotely agrees with that prime, racist outfit, La Raza, should be considered for President.
But here comes Perry. Looking the answer to all our problems and an answer to all the closet woman haters that wouldn't vote for a female under any circumstance. (I must admit that if it comes to Hitlery, I agree. But that just makes me a "Hitlery Hater" which is good).
Perry is talking about JOBS. -- Jobs for who ?? The hordes of illegals he wants to permit to remain employed here after breaking our laws ?
Be very careful America ! In 2008, we allowed another good looking, seemingly well spoken, Dude to be elected without the proper vetting and with the backing of lying liberals like Pelosi.
Perry may not have that kind of backing, but he fits the rest of the picture.
Don't let yourself to be mislead by Bee Ess. He has raised a ton of bucks. How many of his big contributors favor illegal labor ? WE need to look underneath the smiling candidate this time and see where he really stands.
President Obama keeps telling us what might not be paid if the debt ceiling isn't raised.
That's the wrong answer to a question that America isn't even asking.
This new iCaucus Video calls on the President to answer the real question:
"Mr. President, if the debt ceiling isn't raised and you're not planning on paying our debt obligations, or social security, or medicaid, or our military personnel...even though you will have more than enough money to do so...then what's more important and what will you be paying instead with the $180 billion that the government will keep collecting every month?"
