Florida Church's Memorial Day Celebration Vandalized, Flags Burned

PENSACOLA, Fla. -- Every year St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Pensacola puts up American flags in honor of Memorial Day. This year they're having to do it twice after someone vandalized the display last night.

When the workers at St. Marks United Methodist arrived to work this morning all of the flags they put up yesterday had been knocked down.But that wasn't the worst part, a black spot could be seen on the ground, left from a few of the flags that were burned."

This so sad.

People who do THIS can NOT be considered Patriotic!

I turn 53 this July 27th.

I remember that it use to be that even a drunken bum would leave the Flag alone.

It use to be that even vandals and thieves would leave Churches and synagogues alone.

There use to be respect for our elders, our Military, our Flag, our Churches/synagogues, for our God...

Not so much anymore.

Why no respect?

Because we have so little discipline anymore. NO discipline of children. NO honor. NO accountability. NO consequences for actions...

Hence, no respect.

And, yes, this IS a serious problem.

Because this nation's moral foundations have been systematically ripped out from under our youth. They have been indoctrinated to unequivocably question, henceforth utterly disrespect authority..any and all authority. "You're not the boss of me" mentality has become so pervasive.

People who do this shouldn't even be in this country. How can anyone not honor all those who have served by make America free. Isn't that why people came to this country in the first place so they could get out of tyrannical control and run their own lives. I don't think there is a more honorable thing to do than serve your country. And it really upsets me that

we give so much to illegals in this country and not do absolutely everything for the wounded soldiers who come back.

We should not have to donate to these good causes. The govenment should take care of these men and women and honor them all the days of their life.

Gloria the government cut the benefits of veterans at one time we used to get our meds at no cost today if you have an income over $20 grand vets are charged $9 per each monthly prescription, thanks to our Congress that felt we were getting too much, yet they made sure that illegals with no contribution to this country get over $30.000 in benefits...Our tax money going to work. Both partie are are fault, that is why we must work towards change as Gov Perry said "Restore Congress to what it was meant to be a Part Time Job"

I also wanted to say that I live right outside Westerville Ohio and I passed the big field with flags all lined up and it gave me a chill and a tear to know that Americans are so hated by so many people.

Undermine patriotism and ridicule patriotic principles

Infact, here are all eight...

Develop philosophy and liberal cults and the development of atheism and discredit and Christian creeds and Bible Doctrine.
Destroy society through the destruction of marriage. Break it down
Cultivate the ugly in art, literature, drama, and music
Create unrest, suspicion and revolt among working classes – always promote class warfare
Standardize the cheap and the shoddy
Advocate state monopoly for ownership of property
Exchange all currency for slight discount for US Gold and take it off the market (this was successful)
Think internationalism to undermine patriotism; undermine all preparation for defense and ridicule all patriotic efforts

So true I have read it before and it is exactly what is happening in this country right now and I hope it does not get worse because only God knows how it will turn out at the end.
