N.C. voters OK ban on gay marriage
By Jon Ostendorff, USA TODAY
ASHEVILLE, N.C. – North Carolina voters approved a state constitutional amendment Tuesday declaring marriage is solely between a man and a woman, dealing a setback to gay-rights advocates.
Approval means North Carolina becomes the 30th state with such a constitutional provision.
The constitutional change solidifies a state law in place banning same-sex marriage.

30 States have done this.
EVERY State that lets their legal citizens of voting age VOTE has done this.
Patriots, do NOT let the Liberal DNC, MSM, R.I.N.O. cartel dictate to you, to us IF we'll vote and WHO to vote for.
There are 100 Million Conservative voters in America. IF we all vote for the MOST Conservative choice we have we will WIN!
What do YOU think of this and the Richard Mourlock victory?
Do YOU think Conservatives can and will unite and win big in November?
Let us hear from YOU.

Historically, religion has defined marriage, and religious marriage is outside of the purview of the government. Now, the government can say that people have a civil union, and that's essentially what "legal" marriage is. However, we can get married without having a "legal" marriage. And if homosexual couples want to get "married", there are churches that will perform that rite. I think the government needs to recognize civil unions between homosexual partners.
Personally, I think conservatives are pretty much screwed in this presidential race. Mitt Romney is a moderate, and every time Republicans run a moderate candidate, they lose.
Joe Donnally, Mourdock's Dem rival is already calling him a far right radical, a Tea Partyer, in an attempt to discredit him with moderates and independents here in Indiana. The DNC is happy the Mourdock won, they believe that their candidate will be able to beat him, unlike Lugar, whom they didn't even bother to field a candidate against. If that is the way the ball bounces, it was still a good thing that we finally got that 80 year old dinosaur, who didn't even live in Indiana, out. 35 years is enough, especially since he had become a RINO.
Permalink Reply by Michael Brennan on May 12, 2012 at 4:52am There is no "right" to marry, it is a privilege. All you men tell your wife it was your "right" to marry her and see how she reacts. Marriage is a religious institution hijacked by the government for a money making ponzi scheme. Just like drivers licenses, life insurance, health insurance, all legalized ponzi schemes. If homosexuals (which is not a civil right, who you sleep with is a choice not a natural order) want to marry, have a civil union and be done with it. What this is, just another way to destroy society. This election is not about Obama but about saving our christian heritage and our nation. Obama is waging a war on Christianity, the last stronghold against the forces of intolerance, bigotry and liberalism. Our conservative ideals are so intertwined with morality, fairness, equality, justice and social responsibility that if our freedom of religion fell apart, our political philosophy can and could be declared illegal. We will go from citizens to outlaws. And those who scoff, tell me you do not see these moves in the news. Now Eric Holder is suing the Sheriff in Arizona for upholding the law and preventing illegals from having free reign on our city streets. This is a spiritual war we are fighting here and we need to fire Obama at all costs to begin the healing process of our nation. We have to do this now in 2012. The costs to fund raise and elect Romney will be cheaper than trying to keep your family alive while hiding from the Obama goons we know are coming soon if he gets a democrat Congress again.
