Sheriffs have risen up all over our great nation to stand up against the unconstitutional gun control measures being taken.
The following is a list of sheriffs and state sheriff’s associations from who have vowed to uphold and defend the Constitution against Obama’s unlawful gun control measures. I applaud these public servants for their courage and conviction.
I call on sheriffs all over this nation to add their voices to the growing numbers of faithful protectors of our freedom. -Richard Mack

Is your County Sheriff on the list? Mine is! Do you need to contact your Sheriff and introduce him to CSPOA?
Mack to Obama, “you have no authority to tell me what kind of gun I can own, how big of a clip I can own, or even that I have to go through your stupid background checks. I’ll own whatever kind of gun I want, and it’s NONE OF YOUR DAMN BUSINESS! LEAVE US THE HELL ALONE!”
Sheriff Mack was at a “Guns Across America” rally at the capital steps in Austin, TX. There were around 2,500 in attendance at the rally.
Mack has been exhorting lawmen, especially the county sheriff, that they are the last line of defense when it comes to protecting their citizens’ rights.
He made the point that sheriff’s are obligated to enforce the law, and the supreme law of the land is the Constitution.

To equip sheriffs, peace officers and public officials with the necessary information and public support to carry out their duties in accordance with their Oaths of Office.

Permalink Reply by Ray Bostard on January 29, 2013 at 10:46pm YES, Sheriff Eric J Weaknecht of Berks County, PA. We our very proud and gratefull to have him as our Sheriff!!
Add Jerry Dinwiddie, Sheriff of Ralls County Missouri to that list. He came out today, stating he would not enforce any gun law he considers unconstitutional. Jerry is very reliable. I have known him for over 50 years.

Have him contact http://cspoa.org/
That's excellent!
Permalink Reply by Nannett Soli on January 29, 2013 at 10:59pm As of 2010 there were 3,083 - so we only have about 2,860 to go! I noticed none from San Antonio were in the list, maybe they should know about the list.... *off to send them an email*
Mines not on it, and wrote him and asked him why. I'm not expecting an answer.
Permalink Reply by Robert stapenski on January 30, 2013 at 12:09am I don't see any New Jersey sheriffs on this list. Maybe they forgot the oath that they took to defend the Constitution or they need a few phone calls to remind them of their duty. Once again our citizen are left out in the cold with no support.
Permalink Reply by American First on January 30, 2013 at 8:41am Robert-
Maybe they're a bunch of Liberals supporting Obama's gun grab. Since your governor turned Liberal, supporting Obama, there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of support for our Constitution in NJ anymore. We sure are happy there are some holdouts that still support it....like you. Hang in there!
BTW, I am still angry with Christie for falling into the Dems' Hurricane Sandy plot / trap. They took 2 months to fill up the Sandy bill with crap, a lot not even related to Sandy, then had the audacity to shove in the faces of Republicans & demand they sign it immediately. When the Repubs said, "Whoa, wait a minute", the Dems immediately started their BS propaganda, going on TV & the Internet accusing the Repubs of "holding up the HS bill to help the poor, unfortunate victims of Hurricane Sandy. How heartless of these Repubs. It's all their fault these victims can't get help".
I read the original bill. No wonder it took 2 months! Dems should have been boiled in oil for their actions or at the least removed from office.
And Christie fell for it hook, line & sinker....schmuck........
Permalink Reply by Mrs. Diane L. Logan on January 30, 2013 at 1:49pm American First, Christie is too busy at the dinner table to worry about traveling around to see the suffering of those devastated by Sandy. If he really cared he would object to the pork being added to a bill that was supposed to address the citizens in his own state, not something added to benefit Alaska, Ill., and other states which were not at all affected by Sandy.
The insurance professional actuaries figured out that a 20 to 25 billion dollar aid package would cover the needs. Why doesn't Christie use those realistic figures rather than ignore them instead of buddying up to his cronies in the democrat party, a party he would be most welcome in it seems?
Permalink Reply by Bob Lee on January 31, 2013 at 11:45am Robert, On January 11, 2013 Sheriff Mack sent an Urget Request to have all Citizens send a form from the Constitutional Sheriff's Organization, to their own County Sheriff, and ask them to take the pledge to Defend and Protect the Constitutional rights of those they serve in their County. I would go further, and ask them to post that pledge on their official website. So go and make copies of that pledge, and give them to your friends, family, and neighbors, and take a few and mail them to those you know in different States, asking them to do the same thing. When a Public Official gets a few hundred or even a few thousand petitions in the mail, that tends to make an impact on them.
Permalink Reply by Bob Lee on January 31, 2013 at 2:47pm If your Sheriff gets a few thousand of them on his desk, that requires his Secretary to open all of them, and respond to every letter, that may make the kind of impact on him that you need to make; the one of volume mail from the voters in his County.
Permalink Reply by Carri on January 30, 2013 at 12:33pm Hello Terri Lee. My Sheriff wasn't on it either. Denton County (TX). I noticed Collin Co was on the list so I emailed him to thank him and confirm he will not enforce new gun control laws. He emailed me back soooo fast!!! He said he would NOT enforce new gun control!!! So, I logged onto Denton County Sheriff, William Travis, website and read what he had to say about gun control. His response to gun control enforcement was soooo vague it was not conforting!!!!! I then emailed him to let him know I didn't see his name on the list of American Sheriffs who will not enforce new gun controll laws & asked him to tell me CLEARLY if he is for or against enforcement of new laws. That was early this morning. I STILL do not have a reply!!! Sick how some "law enforcement officials" are for disarming America!!!!! Terri, maybe you could get on your county sheriff's website and see what he has to say about gun control. If you are not satsified, like I wan't sastified, email your Sheriff and see if he replies to you. You may get the cold shoulder like I so far have gotten. Actually.....when to stop to think about it.......a lack of response to your email will give you his answer!!! That is how I am feeling about my Denton County Sheriff!!!! BUT....if he DOES answer me, I will let everyone know so those in Denton County will feel somewhat safer.
I did pretty much what you did. I got a letter back telling me that he believes in the 2nd Amendment, but not that he would defend it or that he was going to stand for it. I called him on it and that's where we are now. I've asked many others to write him and demand those answers too. Maybe if enough people light a fire, he'll consider......One thing that I'm wondering about is the little known news that the Fed is seeking to abolish the position of local sheriff. This might be having some impact on the count. I can see why the Fed might want to do this consider our favorite Sheriff Joe and now so many willing to put themselves out. So, I write and ask the Governor what he intends to do about this Federal over reach....yet to here from him as well....
